What were your first impressions about Türkiye?

There is a lot of walking — İstanbul Airport wasn’t easy on my legs.

What do you like best about Bilkent and Türkiye?

The people. I can’t repeat myself again on this one. The weather might get cold but the people always have a smile for you.

What will you miss most about Bilkent/Türkiye?

Averaging 10,000 steps daily.

What’s your favorite place on campus, and why?

Study room in the CTIS building; it defeats the library.

What’s your favorite Turkish food and why?

Baklava. I am not a fan of sweets, but this tastes so good.

Where do you expect to see yourself 10 years from now?

A more fulfilled person.

What’s one thing you learned from Turkish culture?

I learned it in my Turkish class: spray kolonya and offer the guests sheker.

What places have you visited in Türkiye, and which one is your favorite?

Ankuva is the only place I have visited so far, and I loved it.

What’s an interesting question or comment you hear frequently at Bilkent/in Türkiye?

“Bilkent is so hard.”

Describe yourself in three words.

Go do it.
