The annual Alumni Homecoming, organized by the Career and Alumni Office, took place on Sunday, September 14. Rector Kürşat Aydoğan opened the event with a speech on the present and future of the university, as well as on strengthening ties with alumni. The opening ceremony was followed by a reception, where graduates reconnected with classmates, deans and faculty members. This year’s homecoming drew more than 6,000 participants. Alumni enjoyed live performances, a design fair, street food, children’s outdoor games and the traditional lottery draw. A highlight of the day was the introduction of a new tradition: commemorative medals were presented to alumni celebrating their 5th, 10th, 15th, 20th, 25th, 30th and 35th graduation anniversaries. Graduates of the classes of 1990, 1995, 2000, 2005, 2010, 2015 and 2020 who applied in advance received their medals from faculty members at the FMPA building.
