Dearest Bilkenter,
Let me humbly introduce this earnest endeavor: Four Editorials for Bilkent — a corner of ink and thought, crafted not merely to be read, but to be felt, reflected upon, belonged to and even participated in.
This new column in Bilkent News will consist of four different editorials; each serves a purpose, each offers a lens that is part of me, part of you, part of them and the soul of the campus in between. Rotating weekly, these four editorials will be your monthly guide—each with its own gaze, its own reason for being:
● Foresight, offering a glimpse into the days ahead. What stirs on the horizon? What moods and motions await?
● Forward, guiding you through the cultural landscape—books to read, films to watch, exhibitions to wander through, ideas to carry.
● Formula is for a little bit of fun and relaxation. Ever wondered which Bilkent cat you are—or which Erasmus country fits your soul?
● For the Record, pausing for reflection. What stood out this month? What lingers? What deserves a second look?
All will be written by The Four Columnist on behalf of the Four Columnist, co-written with Eda Emekoğlu, joined by guest writers and professors. Everyone is warmly invited to participate.
In four parts, a mind unfolds.
In four parts, the editorial takes shape.
In four parts, a month is told—scattered, still a whole.
May these words find you, as Bilkent always does—unexpectedly, and all at once.
