Andreas Treske, Chair of the Department of Communication and Design, has released a new book titled “Heaven’s Delight: On the Pleasures of Audiovisual Practices.” The book is published by the Institute of Network Cultures, Amsterdam. Like a piece of Turkish delight—soft and unassuming at first, but unexpectedly intense—the book explores the sensory and cultural dimensions of video. Through a series of essays and notes, Treske reflects on glitch aesthetics, everyday media encounters and the evolving role of video in an algorithm-driven world.
