Second Arbitration Summit Proves Successful

The Bilkent Law Community has once again organized a successful event in the field of arbitration. Following last year’s Bilkent I. Arbitration Summit—the first arbitration-focused summit to be held at Bilkent—the university brought about the Bilkent II. Arbitration Summit, this time with a broader program and a more diverse audience.

The summit continues to stand out as the first and only arbitration event of its kind at Bilkent, reinforcing the university’s commitment to contributing to Ankara’s growing arbitration landscape.

This year’s program explored a wide range of topics, including Türkiye’s legal framework for arbitration and its applications in sectors such as energy, investment, technology and M&A. Sessions addressing international developments and practical arbitration experiences provided meaningful insights for students, academics and practitioners.

The event was strengthened by the support of leading law firms, including Kabine Law and the Özgür Ünüvar Bakiler Attorney Partnership, founded by Bilkent Law alumni. Their contributions, along with the involvement of various institutions, helped the summit attract significant attention in academic and professional circles.

With high participation numbers and a dynamic program, the Bilkent II.

Arbitration Summit further solidified Bilkent University’s role in shaping contemporary legal dialogue and offered students valuable exposure to current practices in arbitration.
