Dr. Talip Serkan Kasırga from the National Nanotechnology Research Center (UNAM) has been recognized by the Scientific and Technical Research Council of Türkiye (TÜBİTAK).
Dr. Kasırga received the TÜBİTAK Incentive Award 2025 for his outstanding research on phase transitions in low-dimensional systems.
The TÜBİTAK Incentive Award is given to scientists under the age of 40 who have demonstrated the potential to provide significant contributions to science at an international level.
Two Bilkent alumni also received awards from TÜBİTAK. Prof. Alper Kiraz (EE, 1998) received the TÜBİTAK Science Award for his research on light-based photonic and biomedical imaging technologies,
while Assoc. Prof. Safacan Kölemen (CHEM 2008, 2010; MSN 2014) received the TÜBİTAK Incentive Award for his work on light-activated therapeutic molecules and molecular sensors.
