UNAM Supports Digital Transformation with EU Funding

Bilkent University National Nanotechnology Research Center (UNAM) is taking part in the SENSOR-HUB project, which has been selected for funding under the European Commission’s call to establish European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIHs) in Türkiye. As a consortium partner in the project, UNAM will directly contribute to companies’ R&D and digital transformation processes through its advanced research infrastructure and interdisciplinary expertise in sensor technologies.

The SENSOR-HUB project will be coordinated by Sabancı University Nanotechnology Research and Application Center (SUNUM). The consortium includes UNAM, TÜBİTAK MAM, METU MEMS, Gebze Technical University, Anatolian Technology Research Park, BC Partnering and Arçelik. The project aims to accelerate digital transformation in industry, enhance the competitiveness of enterprises and foster a regionally integrated and innovative digital innovation ecosystem.

As part of the SENSOR-HUB project, UNAM will carry out activities focused on providing mentorship to companies developing projects in sensor technologies in order to strengthen their R&D capacities, support the digitalization of existing infrastructures through tailored digital roadmaps and contribute to the development of a sustainable and collaborative ecosystem in the field. Through these efforts, the project seeks to facilitate the transfer of academic knowledge to industry and to increase the commercialization potential of advanced sensor technologies.

The project is expected to be officially launched in the coming months and is planned for a total duration of 36 months following the completion and signing of contractual procedures by all consortium partners.
