Designed to take place outdoors, the Step Challenge is open to all Bilkent students and challenges everyone to take at least 10,000 steps on the days they have chosen to make walking or running their exercise activity.
Participants will need to record the number of steps they take using the health app of their smartphone, and then send a picture of the daily, weekly or monthly total to besm@bilkent.edu.tr. One of the great things about this event is that people can participate on the days and times most convenient for their schedule.
Participants are to walk/run at least three and at most five times per week; they need to take at least 10,000 or more steps on each day they choose to exercise and will get five points each time this is done. Activities of 10,000 steps or more are counted as 10,000 steps.
