What were your first impressions about Türkiye?
The roads are very wide, and there are so many people everywhere!
What do you like best about Bilkent and Türkiye?
I love all the trees, the green spaces and, of course, the cats.
Are there any similarities between Türkiye and your home country?
Yes, there are quite a few Albanian words that are the same in Turkish.
What will you miss most about Bilkent and Türkiye?
I’m only in my second year, so it feels a bit early to say, but I’ll definitely miss my friends the most!
What’s your favorite place on campus, and why?
It has to be C building, simply because that’s where most of my classes are held.
What’s your favorite Turkish food and why?
My favorite is definitely baklava because it’s just so delicious.
Where do you expect to see yourself 10 years from now?
Hopefully, I’ll be surrounded by the people I love and working in a career that I’m passionate about.
What’s one thing you learned from Turkish culture?
They drink çay with absolutely everything!
What places have you visited in Türkiye, and which one is your favorite?
I’ve been to İstanbul and İzmir. My favorite was İstanbul because so many Turkish series are filmed there, and it was cool to recognize the locations in person.
What’s an interesting question or comment you hear frequently at Bilkent/in Türkiye?
People constantly ask me if I speak Russian. The answer is: No, I don’t!

Happy, determined, a bit short-tempered.
How is the studying experience at Bilkent?
I really love my department, so I enjoy my classes. Studying for them is actually pretty fun!
