The Bilkent community is deeply saddened by the loss of Prof. İlber Ortaylı, esteemed historian and author, who served as a faculty member in the Department of International Relations at our university between 2004 and 2012, and at the Faculty of Law during 2014–2015 and again in 2016.
We extend our sincere condolences to his family, the Bilkent community and the entire nation.
