The SustainFest will be held on April 8 and 16, at the Mayfest Area and C-Block Auditorium. The event aims to raise awareness about sustainability, waste management and eco-friendly practices.
A wide range of activities will be offered both days, including sports activities, Radio Bilkent live broadcasts and music performances such as the İDV High School Music Performance. Visitors can participate in improvisational acting exercises, tango performances, Tai Chi sessions and breathing and meditation activities.
The festival also features numerous workshops and stands focusing on sustainability, including upcycling with waste materials, zero-waste kitchen practices, recycling-based art activities and a carbon footprint quiz. Attendees can explore food and drink stands as well as company booths promoting sustainable products and practices.
Opening and sustainability talks will be delivered by Rector Prof. Kürşat Aydoğan and Prof. Yasemin Afacan, providing insights into Bilkent University’s sustainability initiatives.
