Ekin Bernay, performance artist and 2008 graduate of the Department of Communication and Design, will be exhibiting “Kalp (Heart)” at Siyah Beyaz Maslak in İstanbul until November 22. The exhibition offers a comprehensive overview of Ms. Bernay’s past performances and explores how and in what ways the objects left over from the performances can continue to live on.
The exhibition offers the opportunity to listen to the sound installation of the artist’s first performance “Mother and I” on vinyl, read over 900 letters collected for the “What Do You Want?” performance from a book, and experience the materials used in her “Atlas” performance in London.
Ms. Bernay’s interactive performance will also take place intermittently during the exhibition.
