What do you like best about Turkey?
I like the Islamic culture, the system and the quality of education, but most importantly I appreciate the weather.
Are there any similarities between Turkey and your home country?
In general the culture, hospitality and social norms are quite similar.
What will you miss most about Bilkent/Turkey?
The challenges I’ve faced at Bilkent University, the friends I’ve made and the memories I’ll nurture.
What’s your favorite place on campus, and why?
My favorite place is the fountain and flowers near SA building.
What’s your favorite Turkish food and/or favorite part of Turkish culture?
I like Adana kebab and the eastern parts of Turkey, like Şanlıurfa, Mardin, etc.
Where do you expect to see yourself 10 years from now?
I want to be an assistant professor, and I hope it will happen in the next 10 years.
What’s the hardest challenge you’ve handled in Turkey?
The hardest challenge has been the language barrier because outside of the campus it’s very difficult for me to communicate.
What places have you visited in Turkey, and which one is your favorite?
I have been to Amasra, Safranbolu, Pamukkale, Mardin, Şanlıurfa, Diyarbakır, İstanbul and Isparta. I liked the eastern part of the country the most.
