Bilkent University lost Prof. Metin Heper, retired faculty member in the Department of Political Science and Public Administration, on Saturday, February 24, 2024.
Prof. Heper, who joined Bilkent University in 1988, served as the Chair of the Department of Political Science and Public Administration and the Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences during various periods of his tenure at the University. Between 2010 and 2014, Prof. Heper served as the Provost of Bilkent University.
Prof. Heper will be greatly missed by everyone at Bilkent. We would like to express our profound condolences to his family, friends, students and the Bilkent community.
