Sarp Feykun Şener, a graduate of the Department of Physics and an undergraduate researcher under the supervision of Asst. Prof. Hasan Yılmaz at Bilkent University National Nanotechnology Research Center (UNAM), has received a scholarship from the Teke Tek Bilim Fund. The fund was created through a collaboration between the Contemporary Education Association (ÇYDD), the Turkish Foundation for Supporting Contemporary Life (TÇYDV) and Fatih Altaylı with Teke Tek Bilim. This scholarship will support Mr. Şener’s doctoral studies in the Physics program at PSL University in Paris.
Sarp Feykun Şener conducted research on “Controlling light propagation through multimode fibers using wavefront shaping” in the Emergent Complex Optical Systems (ECOS) laboratory, led by Asst. Prof. Hasan Yılmaz.
The Teke Tek Bilim Fund aims to support doctoral studies abroad in fundamental sciences such as mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, molecular biology and genetics as well as astronomy. This fund is designed to enhance the scientific skills of early career researchers and advance Turkey’s academic and scientific landscape by fostering the development of qualified scientists.
