Prof. Nükhet A. Sandal (IR ’04) has been appointed Dean of the Weissman School of Arts and Sciences at Baruch College, part of the City University of New York (CUNY). Her appointment will take effect on July 1, 2026, following approval by the CUNY Board of Trustees.
Prof. Sandal earned her BA in International Relations from Bilkent University in 2004. She completed her PhD in Politics and International Relations at the University of Southern California and later held a postdoctoral fellowship at Brown University. Before joining Baruch College, she spent 13 years as a faculty member at Ohio University.
Her research focuses on foreign policy, international security and peace and conflict resolution.
