New Phase in Digital Ecosystem for Teacher Training

Funded by the EU and implemented in partnership with the Ministry of National Education and UNICEF and developed by a team of experts from the Faculty of Education, the Digital Ecosystem for the Teacher Training Project has entered a new phase with the launch of online trainings designed to strengthen teachers’ digital skills.

The project aims to enhance teachers’ professional capacities, support more effective use of digital technologies in classrooms and contribute to improving the overall quality of the education system.

As part of the project, a Digital Competency Training Package consisting of ten modules has been developed and made available on the ÖBA (Teacher Informatics Network) platform. The upgraded ÖBA provides teachers with a user-friendly experience, while the newly developed Teacher Learning Monitoring and Evaluation System will systematically track participants’ learning processes. This system allows teachers to learn at their own pace and supports a flexible structure that can be adapted to different needs.

The training will be open to all teachers, who can access the modules at any time and at their own convenience. Covering a wide range of topics, from learning basic digital literacy to creating inclusive learning environments, from using digital tools in assessment to integrating emerging technologies into education, the training will provide teachers with opportunities to expand their knowledge and skills. The program, aligned with the Digital Competency Framework for Teachers developed under the project, will also promote professional growth in areas such as communication, collaboration, content creation and responsible digital citizenship.
