Black Sea Archaeology Symposium 

An international symposium titled “Circumnavigating the Black Sea, Prospecting its Hinterland: Projects, Ideas and Interactions” will take place November from 6–8  at Bilkent. This symposium aims to bring together leading scholars and researchers to share and discuss the latest findings, methodologies and applications of different perspectives related to the Archaeology of the Black Sea region and its hinterland from prehistoric times to Late Antiquity and the Byzantine era. The symposium is co-organized by Prof. Ayşe Erol from Hacıbayram University, Department of Archaeology, and Assoc. Prof. Thomas Zimmermann from the Department of Archaeology at Bilkent University.
