Human-AI Collaboration

Assoc. Prof. Yıldıray Yıldız of the Department of Mechanical Engineering delivered a plenary lecture on recent advances in human–machine systems at the IFAC HMS’25 Symposium held in Beijing last week. His talk focused on keeping the human in the loop, rather than replacing the human, as we develop AI algorithms. He emphasized the importance of harmonious collaboration between humans and AI in designing high-performing systems that are trustworthy. The event brought together leading experts from around the world, and his lecture received strong interest from the international audience.
