Mustafa Ordu Wins TOYP Award

UNAM Asst. Prof. Mustafa Ordu has been honored with an award in the TOYP Türkiye 2025—Ten Outstanding Young Persons of Turkey program. Recognized among ten remarkable young individuals across various categories each year, Dr. Ordu received this prestigious distinction in the Scientific and Technical Development category for his pioneering research on fiber-based sensors and wearable health technologies.

Through his research at UNAM, Dr. Ordu has demonstrated the practical applications of piezoelectric and triboelectric fibers for the real-time monitoring of human motion and physiological data. His innovative projects on self-powered smart fiber systems have garnered significant attention, with results published in leading international journals such as Small, Advanced Fiber Materials and ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces.

TOYP Türkiye—Ten Outstanding Young Persons of Turkey, organized by JCI İstanbul on behalf of JCI Türkiye, is the national branch of the global Ten Outstanding Young Persons of the World program conducted by Junior Chamber International (JCI). For over three decades, the program has aimed to highlight and celebrate young innovators who inspire society through their achievements and contributions to the community.
