PhilFest’25, Türkiye’s first large-scale philosophy festival, will take place at the Spring Festival area on Saturday, September 27. The event is organized by the Department of Philosophy, Bilkent Philosophical Society, Bilkent University Library and the Psychological Counseling and Development Center.
The festival aims to present philosophy not only as an academic field but also as an experience connected to music, dance, art and daily life.
The program will feature talks by Ezgi Emel, Hacer Foggo, Alper Hasanoğlu and Ahmet İnam on topics such as philosophy for children, poverty as a human rights issue, clinical philosophy and the philosophy of hope. Workshops, quiz competitions, a film screening, a musical performance and a dance workshop will also be part of the schedule.
Visitors will be able to purchase discounted philosophy books, meet associations and communities from across Türkiye, engage with virtual reality experiences and view artworks and interactive posters prepared for the festival.
Participation is free for everyone, but non-Bilkenters are required to complete the registration form at philfest.bilkent.edu.tr .
