Bekir Efe Demetgül (COMD/’25) has had his graduation short film “Crimes De Facto” shortlisted for the 24th International Student Film and Video Festival (ISFVF), organized by the Beijing Film Academy. The ISFVF is considered one of the world’s leading student film festivals and is hosted by the largest film academy in Asia.
The film tells the story of İsa, who falls into a sleep he can not wake up from, and the only cure is a secret hidden from him to be told. His mother and sister host the confessors, who turn the house to a confessional. This makes forgotten problems appear in the family.
The film was made with a team of fellow Communication and Design students. Ömer Ürensel served as the producer, İhsan Efe Koç as the director of photography and Emir Poyraz Temel as the art director.
