What were your first impressions about Türkiye?  

The “çay” consumption made me feel right at home. 

What do you like best about Bilkent and Türkiye?  

The cats that roam freely, looking for treats. 

Are there any similarities between Türkiye and your home country? 

Both countries have mastered the art of kebabs. 

What will you miss most about Bilkent/Türkiye? 

The friends I’ve made along the way and being able to say “Türkçe Bilmiyorum.”  

What’s your favorite place on campus, and why? 

I’ve spent many good times on the Bilka Hill next to my dorm.  

What’s your favorite Turkish food and why?  

İskender and künefe  

Where do you expect to see yourself 10 years from now?  

Either as a tech mogul or still trying to figure out how to pronounce “moğol tavuk.” 

What’s one thing you learned from Turkish culture?  

Smoke your troubles away. 

What places have you visited in Türkiye, and which one is your favorite? 

I’ve visited İstanbul, Eskişehir, Amasra, Trabzon and Rize, but Amasra has my heart 

What’s an interesting question or comment you hear frequently at Bilkent/in Türkiye? 

“Türkçeniz çok iyi” is a common compliment, though we both know it’s not true. It’s a testament to the warmth and politeness of Turkish people. 

Describe yourself in three words. 

Inquisitive, disciplined, adaptable. 

How is the studying experience at Bilkent? 

A rollercoaster of emotions fueled by coffee. It’s challenging and has shaped me into a resilient person.
