What were your first impressions about Türkiye?
Türkiye is a fascinating country with a rich cultural heritage. The people are incredibly welcoming, and the blend of modernity and tradition makes it a unique place to explore.
What do you like best about Bilkent and Türkiye?
In Türkiye, I appreciate the hospitality of the people. At Bilkent University, I admire the high level of academic preparation and excellent organization.
Are there any similarities between Türkiye and your home country?
Both Türkiye and Italy have a strong sense of family and community. Food plays a central role in social life, and both cultures value historical heritage and traditions.
What will you miss most about Bilkent/Türkiye?
I will miss the friendships I am building with Erasmus students and, in general, the welcoming atmosphere at Bilkent.
What’s your favorite place on campus, and why?
The large green lawn because it offers a peaceful outdoor space to study and relax.
What’s your favorite Turkish food and why?
Adana kebab, because it embodies the rich and diverse flavors of Turkish cuisine.
Where do you expect to see yourself 10 years from now?
Travelling around the world.
What’s one thing you learned from Turkish culture?
The way people greet each other, which is different from Italy, and the unique cooking techniques.
What places have you visited in Türkiye, and which one is your favorite?
I have visited Konya, Amasra and Cappadocia. Konya impressed me because it is a conservative city that reflects Türkiye’s deep history and culture. However, the most fascinating region was Cappadocia.
What’s an interesting question or comment you hear frequently at Bilkent/in Türkiye?
Have you ever been to İstanbul? What do you think about the city?

How is the studying experience at Bilkent?
It is different from Italy but very engaging. Unlike in Italy, we have quizzes, midterms and assignments that lighten the final exam load. The study workload is spread throughout the semester.
