Bilkent alumni were recognized during the IEEE Türkiye Science Awards 2025, where the IEEE Türkiye PhD Thesis Awards were presented.
The award ceremony was held on December 13 at İstanbul Technical University, recognizing outstanding doctoral dissertations completed in IEEE-related fields across Türkiye.
Among the recipients of the IEEE Türkiye PhD Thesis Awards were Dr. Alper Güngör (Advisor: Prof. Tolga Çukur), Dr. Mustafa Ütkür (Advisor: Assoc. Prof. Emine Ülkü Sarıtaş) and Dr. Cüneyd Öztürk (Advisor: Prof. Sinan Gezici), all from the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
The IEEE Türkiye PhD Thesis Award aims to honor high-quality doctoral research and to encourage young researchers who make impactful contributions to science and engineering.
